Sumter Utilities, Inc. (a Quanta Services company) seeks SAFE and effective Field Service Mechanics to work within the central SC region.

Pay is based on experience.  Ranging from $18.00 per hour to $32.00+ per hour with paid overtime. We are currently working an average of 40 per week, plus additional work and overtime during "Storm" work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Experience with Field service work
  • Experience with Gasoline and Diesel Engine Repair
  • Experience with Hydraulic System Repair/Diagnosis/Troubleshooting
  • Experience with Electrical and Brake System Repair (air, hydraulic, electric and combinations of these)
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Ability and Willingness to Work with Little Supervision while Staying on Task and Focused on SAFETY and Efficiency
  • Possess Your Own Tools ( Basic Tools)
  • Good Driving Record Required due to Driving a Company Provided Service Truck
  • Willingness to Travel and/or Stay Out of Town for Several Days in a Row
  • Strong Organizational Skills, Excellent Record Keeping
